U organizaciji Opštinskog odbora OBNOR-a 1941-1945 Kotor, 22. decembra 2017. godine, u palati Bizanti održana je svečana akademija povodom Dana formiranja Prve proleterske narodno-oslobodilačke brigade i Dana Jugoslovenske narodne armije 1941-2017.
Akademiju, koja je bila posvećena i trojici kotorskih narodnih heroja Mašu Brguljanu, Nikoli Đurkoviću i Savu Iliću, otvorio je predsjednik Opštinskog odbora OBNOR-a 1941-1945 Kotor Petar Uljarević, pozdravivši predsjednicu Skupštine opštine Kotor Dragicu Perović, delegaciju Udruženja boraca Tivta, Herceg Novog i Budve, predstavnike Fudbalskog Saveza Južna regija, predstavnike privrede i javnih institucija, predstavnike javnog informisanja, prisutne potomke i poštovaoce boraca i članove Upravnog odbora SUBNOR-a Crne Gore.
Prisutnima se ispred OBNOR-a 1941-1945 Kotor obratio Ljubenko Borović, navodeći da se u sjećanjima naroda i svih sredina najčešće i najviše pamte i obilježavaju događaji iz ratne i borbene prošlosti kada su stradali i ginuli ljudi u borbama za slobodu. Tim događajima, ističe Borović, posvećuje se posebna pažnja, naročito ako su u borbama za oslobođenje mjesta ginuli građani, istaknute ličnosti i borci, čega je bilo u svim periodima, a naročito u XX vijeku u Drugom svjetskom ratu.
“Prošlost se ne zaboravlja. Na njenim vrijednostima se uče mlade generacije, posebno sa stanovišta ljudskosti, dostojanstva, ljudskih vrijednosti i slobode. Patriotizam se ovim diže na najviši nivo” – istakao je Borović.
Akademiju su svojim programom uveličali učenici osnovnih škola NH “Savo Ilić”, “Njegoš” i “Nikola Djurkovic”.
